Re-Constructing Identity: Empowering Voices through Strategic Branding.

Background

Toronto Community Housing launched the Centre for Advancing the Interests of Black People, an internal organization that advocates for the rights of Black tenants and employees. The goal of this project was to create a brand identity that felt unique but not foreign to the TCHC brand. The final design was the "Reconstruct Logo" representing the reconstruction of a logo that did not represent the interests of Black tenants and staff. This iteration of the Centre logo stands for a more inclusive outlook and the ability to learn from the past to create a better future.
